"A great service with excellent staff, though maybe..."

What I liked

A great service. I recently attended the unit with a foot injury that had become infected and painful. The lone receptionist was helpful, efficient, cheerful and open about the likelihood of a lengthy wait.

After a fairly lengthy wait, I was seen by a very confident and reassur ing (male) nurse who carefully, with the aid of a scalpel, opened, cleaned and dressed my wound and advised me on its subsequent care. It's now all healed with no problem.

What could be improved

The staff on duty were excellent but the unit appeared to be rather short of staff overall, hence the waiting around. Clearly the staff levels in this unit didn't match the demand at the time I was there.
