What I liked
I recently stayed in the Portland Ward of the Eddie Hawker Wing of Poole Hospital for 3 days for Multiple Sleep Latency Tests and Video Telemetry(Filming while you sleep at night). I was given my own room with free tv and en-suite bathroom. The bed was comfy and the room was well heated so I was never cold.
The staff were all excellent - from the Specialists to nurses and cleaning staff. Everyone was so lovely and welcoming and made my stay a pleasure.
The standard of care was very high and I was constantly being checked up on to make sure I was ok. I cannot even fault the food! Being a vegetarian I generally find that I am left eating cheese sandwiches, but on Portland I was presented with a Vegetarian/Vegan/Halal/Kosher menu full of lots of lovely dishes in a variety of portion sizes. The food always arrived hot, and was exactly as I had ordered. One member of staff even offered to personally toast my bread for me at breakfast - service indeed!
I can honestly say that I had the highest standard of care from the most lovliest people.
What could be improved
Nothing.
"The most pleasant stay in hospital that I have had..."
