What I liked
From the moment I was 'blue lighted' in to WRH, to the moment I was discharged to go home, I felt reassured that everything possible was being done to diagnose and assist me. All staff at all ranks, both medical and domestic, were professional and caring. The nursing staff in Laurel 1 were very competent and although the statement 'nothing was too much trouble' may sound like a cliché, in my case the statement is absolutely true and I use it without hesitation.
What could be improved
Areas of CCU were noisy at night, mainly certain staff talking to each other in 'daytime level voices', but I accept that this is something that goes with the territory in the 24 hour world of hospitals! Not a big problem in the scheme of things.
Anything else?
I count myself extremely fortunate to have been treated at WRH and, based on my own treatment in Cardiology, would have no hesitation in recommending this Unit.
To whoever has overall charge of this Department - you have a wonderful team of professionals of whom you can be very proud. Thank you for the opportunity to comment on my stay.
