What I liked
Involved in my care from start to finish. Most staff very caring, professional and empathetic . Night sister and staff nurses were fantastic. Day Staff nurses were brilliant, it's thanks to them I'm now home.
Visiting times very flexible whilst protecting meal times. Quality of good excellent.
What could be improved
Attitude of some staff could have been better, think either HCA or CSW 's but not sure as identity names badges either not worn or couldn't be seen. Made me feel I was being difficult and wasn't trying when I was doing my best to get going and do as they asked. Acknowledge they were short staffed but that does not excuse a poor attitude.
Would have had more confidence if ward sister/manager had actually at some point introduced themselves and made a basic enquiry as to how things were, maybe they didn't t want to risk any feedback.
Didn't feel could say anything whilst on ward.
Anything else?
Perhaps communication training should be mandatory for all staff, all to easy to become complacent especially when been in post for considerable time.
"Good clinical care spoilt by attitude of some..."
