"Outstanding care in exceptionally clean facilities..."

What I liked

I gave birth to my baby girl at Darent Valley and from the moment I came into the hospital to the moment we left all staff have been absolutely outstanding. Never would I have thought the atmosphere in delivery suite could be as calm and reassuring as it was.

All staff on both Cedar Ward and Aspen Ward introduced themselves and offered their help.

Both my husband and I were treated with respect and care all of the time. Even the cleaning staff had smiles on their faces. We were tired and drained yet had so much support (especially with breastfeeding), which made the whole experience even more special.

My daughter is feeding and sleeping well, which is thanks to all the advice I was given on the wards.

I cannot recommend the maternity services at Darent Valley enough or thank all the staff enough. I did not catch everybodys names, but would like to thank everyone who delivered my baby girl.

What could be improved

I know it is due to cost cutting, but a cup of coffee for dads would be great :) they would stay awake a bit longer then
