What I liked
I was, for the first time in my adult life, quite ill a couple of weeks ago and ended up in A&E.
From the moment I arrived I was treated with such care and professionalism.
A couple of examples:
I was seen in A&E in less than 10 seconds by an exceptionally caring nurse.
20 mins later another nurse came to see me, as they were trying to get hold of the facial consultant. She didn't want me sitting in pain, so came to ask if I wanted to lie down, and she wanted to check I was ok. She reassured me, was gentle and treated me really professionally.
Then a porter came to take me to the facial consultant. I was feeling a bit disorientated , so he offered me a wheelchair and took me there.
Next I was seen by the dentist and the consultant, the dental nurse and other staff. Again, all excellent.
The two further visits have been just as good. I have seen the same dentist, the same dental nurse, the same consultant, all of these people have been so friendly, smily, reassuring etc. The thing that stood out was being wished well as I left by the nurse, and greeted in a personal and lovely way when I went back- "oh, you're looking a lot better..." .
In every way, North Staffs have excelled themselves. Thanks
What could be improved
Nothing
"Amazingly professional and caring"
