About: Torbay Hospital

What I liked

my brother, peter, had his life restored by the wonderful people in the intensive care unit (ICU). He was admitted to ICU in early august with acute peritonitis following his bowel bursting and flooding his system with 8 litres of toxic gunk. His survival was in great jeopardy. But he was released 17 days later to exeter renal unit. His wife and I visited regularly, and occasionally with his daughter. We were humbled by the dedication, warmth, humanity and skills of these wonderful people. Absolutely outstanding. With heartfelt thanks from myself, his wife and daughter and indeed from pete who is now rehabilitating in brixham hospital.
