"I had a great experience in Lister hospital."

About: Lister Hospital

What I liked

The staff were really brilliant .. and the environment was nice and welcoming. I actually liked the whole care they provided during my stay. Every time I pass by the hospital, I look and it really gives me such a lovely feeling and I show anyone who travel with me "this is the place our son was born and it was just wonderful". I’m so grateful for the staff..

What could be improved

.I can't think of any.. everything was just perfect.

Anything else?

Now I’m 26 weeks pregnant for the second time. We have moved to London and I had a visit in my local hospital. Unfortunately I didn't like what I felt during that visit. May be I didn't like it because I couldn't stop comparing the local hospital with Lister. I’m wondering can I only choose the hospitals within the borough? Or any chance me to have my baby in Lister hospital again?

Thanks for getting back to us and we're really pleased that your experience at the Lister was so good. And of course we understand that this can make comparisons difficult with services provided by a different hospital. As a mother, you are free to choose to have your baby in which ever hospital you wish but practical issues often come in to play - for instance travel times. Like many hospitals, we support some mothers antenatally who may have chosen to have their birth elsewhere and vice versa. We would recommend that if this is something you wish to explore further, you should start by discussing the issue with your midwife and/or GP practice.
