I was a patient at the opthalmology department of the Sheffield Royal Hallamshire Hospital for surgery on a detached retina. The standard of medical care was very good - a great deal of time was given to explaining the treatment both pre- and post-operation by the surgeon. I was also very pleased with the standard of nursing care and the general cleanliness of the hospital.
