"positive and enjoyable"

About: Kidderminster Hospital

What I liked

I went to orthotics twice for macular hole surgery. I was delighted to be offered a second chance to improve my sight without asking. Staff are friendly, funny, helpful and professional, believe it or not, I enjoyed the experience! And the outcome has been good.

What could be improved

waiting time for 1st appointment - it would appear that doctor's referal was lost, so nearly a year after diagnosis before operation, which was disappointing.

Also keeping track of paperwork - I am having to make an extra journey 2 days before operation as wasn't given consent form to sign.

Anything else?

Still a very good example of the NHS at its best, long may it continue.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments on the NHS choices website. It would be useful to be able to review your hospital notes so that I can pass your positive feedback to the staff involved in your care and also review the part of your care that could have been improved. Please contact Jo Kenyon, General Manager Ophthalmology on 01905 760220 to pass on your details.
