What I liked
I have been having treatment at the urology dept for about 2 years. I would just like to say that I have been very impressed with the professionalism and dedication of all staff in this department. I was always treated with the utmost respect on my visits for whatever reason. I had surgery in February 2012 (TURP) performed by the doctor and his team and recovery was somewhat difficult. However, a couple of phone calls from the doctor gave me a tremendous amount of confidence and eased any concerns that I was having. My treatment on the follow up visits were just as good as the pre op visits, I understand alot of the public like to undermine the NHS and are very quick to complain; but my experience with the urology dept (including the ward) and all staff has been outstanding. I cannot sing their praises enough. My last visit was on the 29th August 2012 and I have now been discharged so I wanted to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all concerned and keep up the fantastic work. I would just like to add that the doctor, in addition to being an outstanding surgeon is a gentleman; and I do not say that lightly.
What could be improved
Better selection of books in waiting room ( I have purchased about 5 over the time I have been visiting) Perhaps a couple of newspapers !!! (Being cheeky now)
Anything else?
None. It hard to improve on almost perfection.
"This is the best I have been treated by NHS, this..."
