What I liked
There are some staff here that are lovely from the people in food services up to the doctors
They really can make a difference to your stay in hospital .
They fact you feel cared for and visible are priceless
What could be improved
It was clear to me that doctors seemed to charge in on there ward round ,not always knowing what the patient has been thro and say things like 'what are u still doing here!'
Or tell the nurses what they want them to do and they do something else
You don't always get a name a hello a how are you?
I was recovering from an op and the nurse demanded I get up and have a wash
Having know idea what I'd been thro or indeed weather I was actually meant to get up.
It's not always clear what's happening
They don't always give out the drugs at the right time
Or complete half a job
I was placed in a room which seemed a HDU room as to me it seemed staff didn't wanna walk that extra bit to my bay so I was put in there for 2 nights where I had no sleep at all
I wasn't even asked I was told, everything put on the bed n off I went .
Its clear some doctors and nurses want to be there and they enjoy there job & interact with the patients and there are others that you can clearly see just don't wanna be there and these are the ones that let the nhs down!
Was really impressed with the food services team they were warm and friendly even remembering how you have your tea- its things like that that cost nothing that are priceless!
"A bit hit n miss"
