"A very positive experience being looked after by..."

What I liked

I had day surgery on my shoulder on the 22nd August at Chorley Hospital and was admitted to Rawcliffe ward (the Leyland Day Case Unit.) Every member of staff that I met - the receptionist, all nursing staff, Dr's and theatre staff treated me with the utmost respect. There was a pleasant calming atmosphere which made all patients feel at ease. The ward was spotlessly clean and the staff were meticulous about washing their hands. The operation and aneasthesia were explained to me in great detail by the surgical team. The theatre staff were lovely.

All in all my experience was a very positive one. The staff did a fantastic job in not just looking after me but also my husband and son who accompanied me. They kept them informed whilst I was in theatre and made them feel at ease.

I would definately recommend Chorley Hospital and thank everyone concerned in my care.
