What I liked

I am 30 years old and I was extremeley nervous to have my bottom and top left wisodm teeth removed.

I requested to have my surgery under sedation, which unlike a general anesthetic means you are awake throughout the process and able to communicate, but in most cases remember nothing of the surgery, and it alleviates your anxiety making the whole process easier.

Although my initial 9.30 appointment was for sedation, when I went into have surgery I was told there was an error with my appointment and that there was no ne available at this time or place to perform sedation, I was offered surgery under local but by this time I was already sweating with my head spinning with anxiety. After explaining my situation they got me an appointment at 2pm. The staff were very accomodating and sympathetic to my anxiety and said they did not want to make me do anything I did not want to do - i.e. just perform the procedure under a local.

When I was called in for surgery, i was explained very carefully any risks invilved, and I was made to feel absolutely comfortable with my decision to go ahead, I always felt in control and happy. I was still very nervous, but once the sedation drug had been injected the next thing I remember was being told to stay awake and my teeth had been extracted! I do not remember a thing from the surgery even though I was able to communicate throughout.

Absolutely amazing, the nurses and surgeons were friendly, knowledgable and polite, I cannot fault them and they made the whole experience a piece of cake. My mouth is already recoveing really well and I've had little pain. I cannot recommend the Eastman enough, they were exceptional and I am really happy with how the whole thing went.

Really grateful for such a heart felt acknowledgement relating to your visit to the Eastman - I will share this with the team who all work really hard to ensure that they offer a quality service.

I am sorry that you were caused a degree of anxiety at the beginning of the appoint - but happy to read that it was resolved by the team
