What I liked

The entire staff who dealt with me were extremely efficient, friendly, professional, and most of all were very considerate regarding the terrified state in which I found myself due entirely to my life long severe needle phobia.

They all, without needing to be reminded, ensured that I was aware of each step of my surgical path, and that I would be given the correct amount of care and attention. I remember walking into the theatre, with the Anaesthetic Nurse, she ensured that the Anaesthetist was able to do his job whilst sympathetically distracting me, my next recollection was to look at a clock and realise that some 3 hours of my life had disappeared, and I was now in the care of a most efficient recovery nurse.

I was released at 1730 and promised a follow up telephone call within 24 hours this duly happened and my recovery has been very swift, my most sincere thanks to all the excellent nursing/surgical staff at Emersons Green who between them have helped me to largely overcome my phobia
