What I liked
I visited the ENT department as an outpatient. I become very anxious in a hospital environment, which the Doctor who saw me was aware of. The Doctor was very understanding and gentle with me and explained everything to me, and my husband who accompanied me, in a clear and calm manner, and spoke to the Consultant too to get his advice about my treatment. I will have to return to the Department for more treatment, but I am much calmer about this because of this I was treated so sympathetically. Also, the staff on the desk were friendly, and I was called in on time for my appointment (a few minutes early in fact).
What could be improved
The waiting area is a bit small so as it was busy it felt a little cramped.
"A very nervous patient was calmed and reassured."
