"Problems getting Cardiology Appointments "

I highly praise Prince Charles Hospital a lot and it is the Hospital I prefer to go to but the appointment times and cancelations for The Cardiology Dept aren't that good.

I was referred by my GP to see a Cardiologist at Prince Charles Hospital in 2009. I was sent an appointment to see a doctor for May 2010. Then a few days before I had a letter to say it was canceled and that I will be sent another appointment. I waited till October and still nothing. It turned out I was mistakenly deleted off their system so my GP had to do another referral. I was then given an appointment for April 2011. Saw the doctor who ordered numerous tests and that they would see me again in 6 months time. I was sent a letter saying my appointment would be in October 2011. Few days before it was due I was sent another letter saying it has been cancelled and that a new one has been arranged for March 2012. I wasn't very happy due to haven't long been admitted there and now a type 2 Diabetic. But I waited then March 2012 came and yet again my appointment had been canceled. A new one was arranged for September 2012 and even then I didn't get to see the doctor, which I will explain in another story.
