"Thank you to all nurses on B4 at the Rotherham District General"

About: Rotherham Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

I was admitted to the Rotherham District General Hospital after severe vomiting, and was situated in ward B4. The standard of nursing and medical care was very good, and I feel that I was treated very well at all times.

My main concern was that it took a week to get a CT scan, which seems like a long time to have to wait. Also, I do think that the food could have been better.

Thank you to all the nurses on ward B4.

Thank you for taking the time to post your opinion.

We are delighted that you felt that the standard of nursing & medical care was very good during your stay.

Unfortunately without specific details we cannot comment on why you experienced a delay in having a CT Scan and apologise for this.

On average a CT Scan is undertaken within 1-2 days of admission. This can be delayed if a patient undergoes less invasive/detailed scans in the first instance or if their symptoms change.

We would be happy to discuss your particular case with you if you would like to ring Jane Pearce, Matron for General Surgery.

Thank you again.
