What I liked

My daughter had been ill with unexplained stomache pains for over a month. She was in so much discomfort that she was unable to sleep at night and when she did go to sleep the pains had her up again in the early hours. We had been to the doctors on numerous occasions but felt like we were banging our heads against a brick wall as we were told it would probably get better on its own. We were really at loss as what to do next.

We were referred to Walsal Manor Hospital and had an appointment with a consultant. From the moment we entered the paediatrics department we were treated warmly and professionally. The consultant was wonderful! At last someone who was willing to listen to us and put together a plan of action. He explained everything so we went away with a much clearer understanding of what could be done to improve our daughters illness. I will be eternally grateful for all his help and his wonderful caring manner. Our daughter is now well again thanks to his care. I cannot thank the department and this consultant enough. They really should be very proud of their department and what they have achieved.
