"Cursory check that did not make me feel cared for."

About: King's Mill Hospital

What I liked

Reception was much improved from previous visits, with very good customer service. Water and sick bowls are now available.

What could be improved

Staff should say who they are and what their job title is. They should also listen and correctly record what the patient is presenting with.

Anything else?

I was triaged by someone I presume was a nurse but since he didn't tell me his name or job title, I don't know. He did not listen to what I told him and incorrectly reported what I was concerned about. I was next seen by someone else who did not tell me her name or job title; she was determined to follow what the triage nurse had incorrectly listed as my concern and brushed me off. She told me "it might be a bit of cellulitis", as if that were unimportant and sent me home without doing more than a cursory check of my injured leg.
