"no treatment for severe back pain"

About: Royal Hallamshire Hospital

What could be improved

I was referred due to severe back pain episode after long term disc problems over last 3 to 4 years. Had an MRI after about 6 weeks. 10 weeks after the episode I still cannot sit down for more than 5 mins, have constant leg pain and am on painkillers all day. Life is very restricted and I want to get better, I am not ready to slow down this much yet, still in my early 40s. Have still heard nothing from neurosurgery or Hallamshire physios (was referred to both by GP months ago). After a bit of digging, the GP found out the neurosurgeons have discharged me last week, without even seeing me, and are sending me on to the 'msk' team. Guessing this is more physio, as I had years ago but didn't help, but not at the hospital where they really know what they are doing. Disgusted and very let down that no-one is taking this seriously, that I've not been consulted or had feedback from the scan, and that I've not seen sight of an NHS physio in 10 weeks when I've been in so much pain. It's unbelievable.
