About: King's Mill Hospital

What I liked

The policies relating to the unit are archaic and inhumane.

I tried to visit my granddaughter after her new born son had been put into intensive care, to give her support and reassurance and was refused as they have a "no visitors policy" .and she was not ready to be transferred to the maternity ward. This was her first child poorly at only 4 hours old and she is only 19 years of age. I was told her partner was with her and they sent him out to speak to me. He himself was in need of support and the staff refused them any compassion at all. This unit is run in my opinion for the benefit of the staff and not the well being of the patients.

What could be improved

everything
