"Delay in offereing a prompt appointment"

About: Churchill Hospital

What I liked

I have been referred to this Unit (Benign Skin Lesions and BCC-Dermatology - (Plastic Surgery) - Oxford University Hospitals-RTH) with a Rodent Ulcer on 26/6/12 and have called the given number, given the Booking Ref and Code Word. However, I was told that I could not receive an appointment but must wait for a letter from the Department.

I would have thought that, in these days of advanced communication, at least, an Appointment could be given immediately.

The condition is troublesome and will involve more complex and painful treatment if delayed, and greater cost to the NHS; as well as unsightly (on my nose!) and I am disappointed that no appointment date was given when I called the Apointment Dept, or that no Internet facility was offered

What could be improved

as above
