"I will never be able to thank these people enough..."

About: Northern General Hospital

What I liked

Following my cardiac arrest at home, I was admitted to the "critical care" ( intensive care ) unit where the teams there did everything within there powers to save me ( approx. 12 days ) During this period I was not aware of where I was or what was happening ( being in a coma most of the time ) so unfortunately I do not know who these people were as individuals, and not being able to comment on what the unit was like personally. However my family, who were at my side for most of this time, are now telling me of the efforts these dedicated people went to to give me another chance at life and they and myself cannot praise these professionals enough for their actions, and for the efficiency of this intensive care unit. The communication from the cardiac team to my family was "as it was" at the time with no attempt to mislead anyone (something my wife/daughters appreciated). Following the intensive care, I was transfered to the "Chesterman" unit where I received very good treatment from all members of staff leading up to my recent release home, where I am now making good progress to regain normality. My wife informs me that many people were involved in my treatment in intensive care and I regret that I cannot personally thank all of these for what they have done. Could I ask you to give a big "thank you" to all these people on my and my families behalf...Thanks!
