"I received sympathetic and excellent treatment..."

About: The Whittington Hospital

What I liked

I was admitted to A&E by ambulance in considerable pain after suffering what was eventually thought to be the passing of a kidney stone. From start to finish, all those involved in my treatment - paramedics, ambulance crew, receptionists, porters, nurses, doctors, radiologists - were polite, friendly, caring and efficient. Although they were all extremely busy, they made every effort to diagnose my condition and control my pain.

I understand there are plans to remove the A&E from Whittington. If so, it would be a great pity because it is clear that the department is very efficient and gives excellent service to Haringey.

My heartfelt thanks to everybody involved in my treatment that day.

What could be improved

Nothing that I can think of.

Thank-you for your feedback about your experience in our Emergency Department. We are delighted to hear that you had such a positive experience. Your kind words will be passed onto the department.

I would also like to reassure you that there are not currently any plans to remove the Emergency Department from the Whittington Hospital.

Thanks
