What I liked

I was delighted when the waiting list office contacted me a couple of weeks ago after a short wait to give me an admission date, and that for a change it would be in this my local hospital. My previous 2 knee operations have been in Lancaster over 20 miles away.

I was admitted to the day surgery unit and from the moment I came down the corridor I was greeted by one of the nurses who showed me where I needed to be. She was professional and a really lovely person and she put me at ease.

I was seen by the Orthopedic consultant and the anaethestist really quickly and as I had had past knee operations which were quite sudden and traumatic I was taken to theatre really quickly so I had no time to be stressed.

The staff at the day surgery unit are lovely and they really looked after me really well so thank you to you all I really appreciated it.
