What I liked

Good hospital. Nurses and health care assistants are wonderful. Doctors can be a bit sharp at times if you don't understand something they say or if they don't agree with something you say. Overall, the place was very clean and I am very happy with the treatment I received.

What could be improved

Some of the doctors can be very sharp in the way they talk to you.

Thank you for your comments posted on this website concerning staff attitude in the Emergency Care Centre at Hexham General Hospital.

The Trust was sorry to hear that you felt some of the medical staff were a bit ‘sharp’ please accept my apologies for this. I will ask the Matron in Emergency Care to remind all staff about the importance of communication.

Patient and carer feedback is very important to the Trust, thank you for taking the time to write.
