What could be improved
My experience at torbay hospital A&E was horrendous, I was rushed to hospital in ambulance due to severe endometriosis pain, I arrived at midnight, I spent four hours in A&E and was not given any pain relief, I then had a very painful blood test and then a very painful internal exam with no dignity really, I told them I was in pain but they would not listen and carried on with the exam, I was appaulled at this stage, at half past five in the morning I was told to get into a wheelchair and taken to a ward to where there were people much more ill then me which I felt was inappropriate, I told them that I have severe anxiety issues and that my partner is my carer and I did not want to be left on my own without him, they refused to let him stay, so at six in the morning I discharged myself and have not been back since.
"Appalling treatment."
