Called up because of severe facial pain - unable to sleep for > 24 hours. Have appointment with dentist for 2 days time but needed prescription pain relief.
The receptionist/call centre who answered refused to provide a gp callback because it was "a dental issue". They admitted to having no clinical qualifications for diagnosis/triage but refused to provide a GP callback. (cannot go to emergency dental service as it is closed on a weekend after 3pm).
I had to go to A&E to get codeine for the pain.
