"Some concerns over response to fire alarm"

Thank you very much for your feedback in relation to the incident at Crawley Hospital. Our priority in incidents at the hospital, such as a fire, is the safety of our patients and the staff that work at the hospital, and so we worked quickly to ensure everyone was safe and being supported. We would like to assure you that there are tested plans in place to respond to an incident, such as a fire in the hospital, setting out how each of the organisations respond and ensuring patient and staff safety, however, we are currently reviewing the response and we will ensure your comments are taking into consideration as part of that process. Crawley Hospital is run by West Sussex Community Trust and we work in partnership with them to ensure the safety of our patients.
