"GP waiting times in Tower Hamlets"

I am frustrated at the increasing times it takes to be able to get a regular appointment to see a GP at my local practice.

When I joined the practice three years ago I could see a doctor within a day or two; now it takes a week or more, and today I was told that the next available appointment for my 4 year old is in 9 days time. When I suggested that her currently non-emergency condition may be a lot more serious by then, I was told to call back in the morning to book an emergency appointment to see the GP tomorrow.

I feel like this undermines the system but am very tempted to do it as it seems to be the only way to be seen in a reasonable amount of time.
