"Very happy with the way I was treated in Gynaecology"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

All the staff were very friendly and made me feel relaxed. I was looked after in theatre very well, I was given names and explanations of what was happening, so I felt like a person involved with the conversation.

Recovery was very good and the nursing staff on the day ward were very good, nothing was too much to do for you. The only thing that could have gone wrong was the staff thought I was in for a hysterectomy but I was in to have my ovaries removed. Luckily it was mentioned to me and I put it right. On the paper work the word was shortened, so they assumed that was what I was having done.

But all in all, I was happy, relaxed and treated like a person needing help.
