My partner had a concealed placenta abruption on in January 2012 while she was at work. She came home feeling very unwell and we went straight to Whipps Cross Hospital.
We were met by a Supervisor of Midwives (Pat) who dealt with us straight away in a professional but incredibly kind manner. She even phoned family members to tell them what had happened. They did a scan and couldn't find the baby's heartbeat. They said there was nothing that anyone could have done to save him and that we were the victims of a rare occurance.
My partner had to be induced so she could deliver our son who was still born the next day.
The staff at Whipps couldnt have been better and we had two wonderful midwives (of which Joanna Shallow was particularly amazing) during the whole horrific nightmare.
"Fantastic care in the Labour Ward during a still birth"
