"Trying to make contact with a clinic"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I had to contact a clinic at the hospital this week but no matter how many times I tried to call through the automated phone system I could not get through to someone. I wanted to check whether a referral had been received at the clinic.

I eventually spoke to Kathy in the hospital's Central Booking Office who managed to sort out the issue for me. This involved checking with a number of people and keeping me informed of what was happening.

Kathy was brilliant and her professional customer service attitude and personal manner put me at ease immediately.
