I was nervous about going into Ward 2 at Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield, to have a gynaecological operation. I need not have been concerned because I met with kindness and consideration all the way.
The staff were wonderful, worked as a well knit team, and were cheerful when I felt down. I had pain after the operation, but this was dealt with quickly and efficiently.
The food was variable. One day I had a tasty roast chicken lunch, the next evening, on choosing cauliflower cheese I was presented with an unappetising grey mush!
The medical treamtment was excellent
The nursing was excellent.
The food definitely needs the "Jamie Oliver" touch, as I suspect people who spend weeks in hospital, do not benefit from a healthy diet - thus compromising their recovery.
