In June I had an outpatient appointment with a consultant in ENT.
Instead of receiving treatment or being offered advice I was given a follow up appointment with a "new consultant". The consultant bizarrely asked me if they themselves had a shiny face. They then answered by telling me that they don't have a shiny face because only new consultants have shiny faces.
So having waited 8 weeks for an appointment with the consultant, I'm now expected to wait another 8 weeks, without treatment, to find out if this new consultant can help.
I was left feeling humiliated and angry.
"ENT consultant who does not have a shiny face!"
