"My childbirth in Good Hope hospital"

About: Good Hope Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in April 2012.

I would like to thank the wonderful midwife and midwife student (Sharon and Hollie) who were with me and my hubby at that time. My childbirth was very spontaneous. I was treated in such a professional, caring, loving and empathic way that I could not and still can not express my gratitude and admiration for their marvelous work and great hearts.

Before, I had given birth in a different country (eastern European) and I have a comparison between the two kinds of attitudes to a woman in labour - the comparison is like hell and heaven.

I cannot forget to thank Wendy as well, who was the first to care for me when I came to the Delivery Suite. Wendy, Sharon and Hollie - thanks to you, my memories of childbirth are really lovely. I do appreciate so much your hard work and all the wonderful job you do. Thank you with all my heart.

Dear Cathyia

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience at the Good Hope Hospital. It is always good to hear when we are doing well and that we are professional and caring.

I will pass on your comments to the midwives and the matron for the delivery suite. It is nice to be able to feedback to them how they have done, and how you feel about your labour.

Best wishes

Michelle
