"Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust replies:"

About: Rochdale Infirmary

Even four years on, we would want to say how very sorry we were that you had such a poor experience and that this continues to cause you difficulties.

Thank you very much however for sending us this comment – we will use it to help us remind staff how things can feel from the patient’s point of view.

We are pleased to hear that the care was good when you had your baby.

We are, however, very concerned that you believe your tumour could be growing again, but that you do not intend to see anyone.

We would encourage you to see your GP as soon as possible. Your GP can refer you to a specialist if they think that this is required.

If you do not want to go to Rochdale infirmary then you do not have to.

Patients can now choose from any hospital in the country, and our Trust runs three which are close to Rochdale.

If you did need any hospital treatment and had any concerns ahead of time then we can arrange for you to talk to a senior nurse about these.

Do please contact your GP so that you can have peace of mind about any treatment required as quickly as possible.
