"Bowel Operation - removal of tumour and resection"

About: East Surrey Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

My story all took place at East Surrey Hospital, Redhill.

I had my operation in mid-July and returned home four days later.

I was operated on by Mr Neil Smith and his team and he did everything he said he would do and perfectly. I was taken to Copthorne Ward for post operative treatment and I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff there - caring and kind, but also very efficient - I was kept informed of what was happening all the time by the nursing staff and doctors. The hygiene in the ward was excellent, such that I was never concerned about infection.

To my delight I had a personal computer with TV/Internet/Phone & Radio by my bed, which made life so much better.

I cannot remember all the names, but thank you all for everything.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments (your pseudonym made me laugh!) and I'm so glad you are recovered.

I will pass your kind comments to Mr Smith and his team and also to the ward staff.
