"Lack of support for my daughter"

About: Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust / Child and adolescent mental health

(as a relative),

My daughter has Aspergers Syndrome and in my opinion she simply does not get the support and care she needs.

She has a minimal level of contact with her CAMHS worker - a one hour session every three weeks. I feel that this is not enough for someone who self-harms and asks me to kill her everyday.

Frustratingly, I feel that the GP has been unwilling to refer her to any other mental health services. It feels like there is no additional support for people with Aspergers Syndrome and I'm being passed back and forth between GPs, MPs and PALS.

She has never been referred to an Aspergers specialist or a Speech and Language Therapist - two things she would benefit greatly from. As she is agoraphobic and does not attend school, she is also excluded from Autism Outreach support services, which are seemingly only available for kids who go to school.

I feel she is being let down by everyone and I don't know where to turn.
