"My 40th health check"

About: Stockport PCT

(as the patient),

In June I went to my GP for my mot health check. I could not believe this was a nurse. I'm not a doctor but she said because my height and weight were the same as 5 years ago, my cholesterol and blood would be the same as 5 years ago and there was no need to take it.

I said I want it taken but she passed the book. I went back later in the month for my wrist and it was a different doctor. After talking she said I should have tablets. I said I need refering to hospital because I've had it years and sick of tablets. She then said she should take my blood to see if I was diabetic or anything.

When she got the screen up she said I didn't need to have my blood taken because I had it done earlier in the month. I said that is disgusting because she didnt take my blood. The doctor said that because of my weight and height I would be fine and still didnt' take my blood even though it was on the computer that they did the test on me when they only took my blood pressure.

Then recently my friend call for a brew and he said he'd just been to the doctors for his health check and I was godsmacked when he told me the same this had happened to him. I'm concerned that they're recording that health checks have been done when they havn't.
