I was admitted to maple ward on the early hours of Sunday morning due to a&e thinking that I was having an ectopic pregnancy. I was told I would get a scan first thing Sunday morning, this did not happen. I was then told by the consultant on the ward that the pregnancy could still be ectopic but I would have to wait until for a scan on Monday despite being told by two different doctors, one of which was a gynaecology consultant on a&e that I would get one first thing Sunday morning!
Ectopic pregnancies can be a medical emergency and to be left is just disgusting.
I found the staff rude and unhelpful. I suffer from anxiety and the one nurse had the compassion and empathy of brick.
"Awful ward and staff"
