"Worst services provided by the NHS"

About: Willowbrook Medical Centre (Jg Astles)

Attempted to make appointment for my kids 1 year old. The surgery disregarded any concerns, no appointment available everytime we rang, call were always made at 8.30am. This is when the surgery ask you to call to make an appointment on the day but we have not been able to get one appointment even when we rang at that time. Worst service provided, the response from the staff at willow brook is usually if you have concerns with your child then you should take them to the walk-in centre as we don’t have appointments. Also the pharmacy attached to the surgery never has the medication you need in stock. You always have to wait a few days before you can collect your meds, inconvenience has been disregarded here. Overall one of the worst NHS doctors I’ve attended. Maybe they need to look at all the awful reviews people have left because over not seen a single positive review.

We are sorry to hear that your experience with the practice has felt unsatisfactory. We know that many patients have had difficulty with the telephone system, and have recently updated the system to make it more effective. Between 8 and 9am, we get around 300 calls looking for appointments each day, so as you can imagine it is difficult to satisfy everyone. Please be aware our telephone lines open at 8am.

We are aware that it is often difficult for people to contact us when the practice opens for the day. Available appointments are released at 0630 online, so this is the best resource to check if you need an on-the-day appointment. Alternatively, you can also book appointments using the online system.

Please also consider signing up to Docly, which offers direct contact with doctors and can help with an expanding range of conditions. This is currently only available to over 18s but should make access for children easier. We also offer telephone consultations with a doctor, which are somewhat more available and more flexible than in-person appointments.
