My 95 yr old mum was admitted to Elizabeth Ward on the 3rd Sept.
It was her first long stay in a hospital for 63yrs!!
She has spent her life avoiding drs and staying healthy.
Team Elizabeth Ward have been amazing... not just the standard of nursing care delivered by both nurses and assistants but the Consultant’s team worked quickly to order scans and blood tests so my mum began to make a real improvement.
I cannot thank enough the housekeeping team who daily presented excellent food to encourage my mum to eat.
The domestic team that stopped and chatted to her.
Everyone was so friendly and caring.
Her discharge home monitored by a lady who supported us while we explored options.
OT/physio team who assessed and ordered equipment ready for mums discharge home.
Finally a grateful thank you to our hospital social worker who produced a a comprehensive assessment which guided us to the appropriate care my mum would need after discharge.
Thank you .. Team Elizabeth Ward... you are really amazing!!
