I attended the department on Saturday evening after a fall - at the time I could not recall how I had sustained my injuries and there was a concern that I may have been assaulted. All the A&E staff I met were caring, compassionate and kind, giving reassurance and allowing me time to talk and have a few tears! Thank you especially to the Sister who kept stopping me from discharging myself; the Staff Nurse looking after me who made sure I was safe and comfortable; and also the Security Guard who allowed me to get some worries off my chest whilst carrying out his duty to keep me safe with such compassion.
I'm a nurse myself and my care and treatment - but most importantly the respectful and non-judgemental attitudes with which I was looked after - on this occasion makes me very proud of you all - well done!
"Amazing A&E Staff - as ever"
