"Appointment availability getting worse"

I suffer with a chronic condition and will often require a last minute appointment. I’ve been discharged from hospital yesterday and have been told I need a post op dressing change today. I wasn’t discharged until after the surgery had closed so called at 8 this morning to be told there are no available appointments, nothing until next Wednesday. This is a usual occurrence and it leaves me at risk of infection and complications after my surgery. Despite extended opening hours I always find there are no available appointments, and calling every morning is not always convenient for people who still have to work.
