"ICU Care"

About: Victoria Hospital / Intensive Care Unit

(as a relative),

Wife admitted to hospital after becoming ill within 8 hours from healthy to very poorly leading to emergency surgery within 12 hours followed by four and a half weeks in ICU.

A feeling of helplessness placing all our trust in the medical staff.

Dear Relieved husband,

Thank you so much for posting about your experience as a relative in ICU.

It must have been such a stressful experience for you and your loved one, especially with such a quick deterioration in her health and such a lengthy stay in ICU.

I completely understand your" feeling of helplessness" as the Intensive Care Unit can be such a bewildering environment especially in an emergency situation.

I hope your wife is recovering well and thank you once again for posting on Care Opinion
