"Appointmemts over the phone"

About: Healey Surgery

I suffer from Prostate cancer and have been asked to supply a blood test when I visit specialist on 11 October. I have been getting my blood test at Healey since first diagnosed in 2012. I rang up for appointment and have been told that they do not give out their results after blood test and when I asked for a appointment I have been refused even though my appointment need to be around a week before 11/10/2019. The excuse given was that there was a staff shortage. It seems only one person can now do blood tests in the practise. Which then begs the question Why cannot the doctors do it. The person who I spoke to was very negative.

Dear Mr Henry,

I am sorry to hear that you have had a bad experience. It is shame that you did not ask to speak with me at the time as I am sure we could have accommodated your request. I am not sure of the exact details of the information that you were provided on the day, but if you contact me on the usual surgery number I will be happy to discuss this further.

I apologise on behalf of the staff and the practice if you feel that a member of our team had a negative attitude. This is certainly not what we promote at Healey Surgery and will look into this also.

Kindest regards

Nousheen Chudhary

Practice Manager
