I have been attending clinic since 2008 and have maintained a good cd4 and viral load. When I first arrived I had body sores falling out hair and was very low with a cd4 of zero. The first drugs interacted with my pchiatric drugs and I was sectioned in the ladywell unit and stayed 3 months and had ECT. On release I was put on better drugs that reacted with my anti depressants better. My hair grew slowly and the itching stopped. Alexis clinic forwarded me to cascade which are a phyciatric team for people with aids. I was no longer dying. And I have to stress Alexis clinic have supported me no end from phyciatric care to financial advice to councelling. It's a shame that counselling has been cut back from lewisham hospital. It was priceless. The team even forwarded me to barriatric services for weight loss surgery. Nothing is too much for this team from nurses to reception staff and my wonderful Dr. They listen they check bloods thoroughly and pick up on other issues. I can't praise this team enough. I am not alone in this journey with their care and support
