Went to see my doctor with a water infection and a fever, did'nt realise how high my temperature was but had flu like symptoms. I was diagnosed with suspected sepsis and given antibiotics immediately and told to get my husband to take me to hospital immediately. I was given a letter to give to hospital reception and therefore treated immediately. Urgent treatment for sepsis is vital as it can be fatal but many doctors fail to spot the symptoms.
I cannot thank them enough, probably saved my life.
